Class action lawsuit filed against CardSystems. When CardSystems filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on May 12th, 2006, the class sought to have the case transferred/consolidated to the bankruptcy case, however, some of the co-defedents (namely VISA and Mastercard) opposed, given that they had no part in the bankruptcy, and the court denied the transfer. Eventually, this case was dismissed, having no means of relief (CardSystems was gone). |
