Express Scripts posted a profit of $206.8 million in the quarter ended Dec. 31, up from $138.5 million a year ago. Revenue for the quarter remained flat at $5.5 billion. Results included $11.3 million for charges related to a security breach in November, when someone tried extort money from the company by threatening to expose millions of patients’ records and members’ personal information. For all of 2008, the company recorded a profit of $776.1 million, up from $567.8 million in 2007. For 2008, the company had revenue of $21.98 billion, up from $21.8 billion in 2007. Bel-Ridge, Mo.-based Express Scripts Inc.
